Becoming a qualified driving instructor involves successfully completing three essential assessments, and our comprehensive courses are specifically designed to guide you through each stage of this process with confidence and ease.

The first step, the ADI Part 1 test, consists of a theory exam coupled with a hazard perception test. This component evaluates your knowledge of traffic signs, signals, road procedures, and mechanical aspects of vehicles, mirroring the experience of learning to drive yourself but in a more formal testing environment.

The second step, the ADI Part 2, assesses your practical driving ability through a series of evaluations, including a basic eyesight test, ‘show me, tell me’ vehicle safety questions to demonstrate your understanding of vehicle maintenance, and an in-depth assessment of your overall driving skills. This includes both your ability to drive independently and execute specific manoeuvres accurately.

The final stage, the ADI Part 3, involves delivering a real, supervised driving lesson to a pupil, which is scrutinized by an examiner. This assessment focuses on your instructional competency, covering lesson planning, risk management, communication, and teaching techniques, all crucial for effective instruction. To help you succeed, Delta Driving School offers a unique support system by sponsoring trainees on a license after they complete their Part 3 training. This sponsorship provides invaluable practical teaching experience, a chance to earn during training, and additional free instruction, all designed to prepare you thoroughly for your final exam and launch your career as a professional driving instructor.
